With Patelco Online™ you can securely manage your checking account.
Direct Deposits typically clear sooner than paper checks, which means you get your money faster — whether it’s a paycheck or a benefit payment.
To set up your account for Direct Deposit, download and fill out the Patelco Direct Deposit authorization form. Then give the completed form to your employer or benefit provider.
When you fill out this form, remember to use the correct account number formats. Your complete savings account number can be found by clicking or tapping on the savings account in Patelco Online™ and then selecting the Account Details tab. If you need more help, refer to the “How to find your account numbers” section below.
Automatically divide your paycheck among your Patelco accounts.
When you use Direct Deposit, you also have the option of dividing your paycheck among your Patelco accounts. This is a great way to set up automatic saving for a large purchase, like a home down payment, a vehicle, or a vacation.
To set up a Payroll Disbursement, complete this disbursement form and mail it back to Patelco. (Our address is on the form.)
Remember to use the correct account number formats to ensure your money is disbursed correctly. If you need help, refer to the “How to find your account numbers” section below.

Locating your checking or Money Market account numbers
Account numbers for Checking and Money Market accounts are 14 digits long. Your account number appears along the bottom of checks, to the right of our ABA/Routing Number.
You can also find your complete account number by clicking or tapping on the account in Patelco Online™ and then selecting the Account Details tab.
What do the numbers mean?
Patelco accounts begin with “746” followed by zeroes (0000), your account number, and a two-digit account type identifier.
For example, the complete checking account number for account 12345-10 is 74600001234510 (746 + 0000 + 12345 + 10)
You’ll need to use your complete checking account number when submitting direct deposit, paycheck disbursement and overdraft protection forms.

Branches are generally able to accommodate cash withdrawals up to $5,000 per day. Members needing withdrawals over this amount should contact their nearest branch. You may withdraw a maximum of $500 in cash per day at shared branch.

No. You can keep your Patelco account open if you move outside California. Even better – you can still transact quickly and easily using online banking, our Mobile App, and thousands of CO-OP Shared Branch Network locations, which offer services like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cashier’s checks, and more. We have many out-of-state members who use Patelco for all their financial needs! To locate ATMs and branches out-of-state, visit patelco.org/locations or tap the location icon in our Mobile App.
Shared branches in the CO-OP Shared Branch Network are unable to cash checks. However, you may deposit checks into your Patelco account at shared branches — in addition to making transfers, purchasing cashier’s checks, and doing other banking. Locate a shared branch >
Please check your account first to determine if the funds were deducted. If the funds were deducted, notify Patelco so that we can open a dispute with the ATM owner on your behalf. For the dispute, we need you to identify your member number, the account from which the funds were withdrawn, the withdrawal date, the amount you requested from the ATM, and the ATM location. You can provide this information via the MESSAGE CENTER widget in Patelco Online™, by calling us, or by visiting any Patelco branch. If you call us at 800.358.8228, please use extension 1306 to reach our Card Services department directly to file your claim.
